After the first leg in Indonesia on 9 April, the regional road show of i.Security Seminar stopped in Singapore on 24 April; it will be staged in Philippines on 22 May, Malaysia on 3 June and Thailand on 19 June subsequently. The i.Security Seminar features a theme of: Holistic Approach in Security Operations.  Sponsors for the Singapore conference include Citrix, Check Point, TippingPoint, Lumension and Blue Coat.

In order to reduce security risks and potential threats in our Networking environment, a holistic approach is required. Security processes ought to be mapped out of a clear definition of the threats to our system.  Security threats are a result of the various interaction points that an application provides to the external world and the access given to various users who interact with these interfaces. A holistic security model should provide an integrated platform and well-defined processes to leverage and mitigate multiple levels of security to achieve an optimal solution in corporate privacy, integrity, data protection, user identification and authentication as well as Network service protection.

Citrix presented on how we can improve organizations' availability and security of web applications. Check Point followed on the need and solutions to ensure total endpoint security while TippingPoint identified three fundamental enterprise network security challenges which triggered the absolute need for IPS and NAC solutions. Lumension continued the front on the challenges enterprises are constantly facing with endpoint security today. Blue Coat sealed the day’s presentation with a dual approach of security and WAN optimization delivery.
